Studio Tour
Big Rock Recording is a first-class recording
facility. We offer a state of the art recording complex, featuring
a Mackie Digital 8·Bus (D8B) console with full automation
of all mix parameters and an outstanding array of plug-ins. Our
multitrack recorders include a Mackie HDR24/96 hard disk recorder,
and three 20 bit ADAT machines. The HDR24/96 has a digital audio
workstation (DAW) interface providing the power and convenience
of digital editing.
We offer an extensive collection of high quality
microphones, sophisticated processing gear, and a multitude of musical
instruments. Our complex can fulfill all of your pre-production,
tracking, overdubbing, mixing, and digital audio needs.
Projects range from music to voice overs, and
include styles such as rock, blues, jazz, metal, radio spots and
many others.
The newly constructed recording facility features
a spacious live room with a high ceiling and river rock wall. The
room can be acoustically tuned from very live to extremely tight.
The studio also has two isolation rooms.
At Big Rock Recording we are committed to the
integrity of every project. Our professional staff is dedicated
to excellence and detail.
The new studio was designed by Chief Engineer
Mark Hopkins. Valuable input was provided by legendary producer
and engineer Keith Olsen. Mark paid meticulous attention to detail,
such as the separation of each room from the other. "Each room
is floating," beams Mark, "they are mounted on mechanical
rubber - none of the walls touch the exterior, so sound can't be
transferred through the walls."
Big Rock Recording is a full service digital
audio production, digital editing, pre-mastering, and recording
facility featuring 48 tracks of digital audio recording.
We are located 30 minutes outside of Seattle
